Manuscript Workspace
Organize projects and chapters, write in a focused editor, autosave your work, and keep your manuscript moving.
Your Story is a private writing workspace for novelists and storytellers who want powerful revision tools, thoughtful guidance, and complete control over their own voice.
Your Story brings manuscript organization, story development, focused critique, and practical revision tools into one writing environment.
Organize projects and chapters, write in a focused editor, autosave your work, and keep your manuscript moving.
Review whether a chapter works as a complete story unit—its purpose, progression, opening, ending, strongest element, and biggest story-level concern.
Find important moments where a restrained emotional response could help the reader feel what the character is experiencing without forcing melodrama.
Find repeated words, phrases, sentences, paragraph content, and openings in a chapter or manuscript, and decide which patterns are intentional.
Find sentence-length and cadence problems that genuinely affect readability, including choppy clusters, overloaded sentences, and monotonous runs.
Find moments where dialogue, action, and response feel disconnected instead of flowing as one natural sequence.
Work with selected passages, explore alternatives, and strengthen prose without silently changing the manuscript or taking away your decisions.
Develop beginnings, crises, endings, stakes, turning points, chapter ideas, and other working material before locking it into the story.
Keep characters, locations, relationships, timelines, established facts, and continuity information organized in one place.
Define the words, dialogue habits, POV rules, cadence preferences, and personal standards you want Your Story to watch for.
Your Story is designed around the way manuscripts actually improve: the writer creates the work, the tools reveal what deserves attention, and the writer makes the final decision.
Start a project, organize chapters, and develop the people, places, plot, and facts behind the manuscript.
Work inside the manuscript editor with autosave, backups, version history, search, and project organization.
Run focused checks or a full chapter critique and see concrete places that may deserve revision.
Accept, reject, rewrite, rephrase, or ignore suggestions. Nothing changes unless you choose to change it.
Your Story was built around a simple idea: technology should help a writer understand and strengthen a manuscript without flattening the individual voice that made the story worth writing.
Critique and revision tools are there to show possibilities, not to make creative decisions for you. Your manuscript remains your work.
Projects, chapters, notes, writing rules, and story information are tied to the signed-in writer's account. Other writers do not share your workspace.
Useful feedback points to a real passage, explains why it may matter, and gives the writer enough information to decide what to do next.
A strong revision process includes reading the page and hearing the prose aloud. Future listening tools can make that workflow even easier without leaving the writing environment.

Open a chapter, choose Analysis → Grammar & Verb Tense Audit, and select Run. The audit checks narration and dialogue across the complete chapter with context, preserving author voice, Southern dialect, and Ariyuna’s English.
Each finding marks the exact wording, explains the context, and proposes a minimal correction. Select Go to Passage to highlight it, then Accept correction, Reject, or Ignore on future scans. Ignore applies to this chapter version; changed context can warrant a fresh review. Use Undo to reverse the last accepted correction.
Check the scan status: an incomplete audit must be retried. Ambiguous passages and changed chapters cannot be automatically replaced.
Choose Analysis → Story Development, then Analyze Story. Review story weaknesses, strengths and supported opportunities with chapter and project context. Select a finding to see its yellow manuscript passage. Leave As Is preserves it; Strengthen shows the recommendation. Only Accept revision applies a separately checked local correction. Larger scene recommendations do not replace text. Defer sets a finding aside. Story Master remains the tool for prose and targeted editorial repairs.
Analyze the current chapter’s dialogue, purposeful actions, character voices, physical sequence and human-animal interactions together. Select a finding to highlight its exact passage in yellow and compare the original with a checked correction. Choose Leave As Is, Revise or Defer. Unsupported corrections remain advice without changing your manuscript. Earlier Dialogue and Action findings remain available read-only.
Reviews emotional authenticity, sensory detail, setting, atmosphere and physical experience in one integrated pass. Preserves supported emotional responses, purposeful detail, restraint, subtext and species-appropriate animal behavior. It avoids invented reactions, unnecessary gestures, descriptive overload and artificial drama.
Choose Analysis → Story Experience, then Analyze. Select a finding to compare the original passage with its checked improvement. Choose Leave As Is, Revise or Defer. Unsupported replacements remain disabled while the recommendation stays available as advice. Earlier Emotions and Sensory findings remain available read-only.
Reviews the current chapter for viewpoint consistency, genuine head-hopping, knowledge boundaries, interior access, and unnecessary filtering.
Choose Analysis → Story POV. Observable actions are not POV violations, and intentional scene or section breaks may legitimately change viewpoint.
Reviews whether the current chapter gives important moments enough room while keeping routine material moving.
Choose Analysis → Story Pacing. It looks for genuine stalls, rushed turning points, repetitive beats, abrupt compression, and pacing that works against the scene—not for a fixed “fast” or “slow” pace.
Reviews paragraph structure, unnecessary fragmentation, short clustered sentences, and how narration, dialogue and action work together.
Offers minimal paragraph-only or sentence-flow revisions while preserving intentional short paragraphs, emotional emphasis, natural pacing and your established storytelling voice. Each proposed revision receives an independent context check. You decide whether to apply it, and Undo remains available.
Finds noticeable repeated words, phrases, sentences, paragraph content, openings, and constructions. Choose Current Chapter or Entire Manuscript, then Run.
Open a chapter, choose Analysis → Story Repetition, review the results, and check each one in context before changing it.
Offers revisions for the passage you select while preserving your meaning and voice.
You can also open Story Fluent from the Language section of Analysis.
Examines events, conflict, stakes, and story progression.
Choose PLAN → Plot → Story Plot, select the material, run the analysis, and compare the findings with Story Canvas and Plot Builder.
Looks at characterization, motivation, reactions, development, and consistency.
Choose EDIT → Story Character, run it, review the findings, and compare them with Characters & Relationships when useful.
Looks at broader manuscript patterns instead of one small passage.
Choose EDIT → Story Manuscript, select the story or material, run the analysis, and work through larger patterns gradually.
Stores the writing standards and preferences you want Your Story to respect.
Choose EDIT → Story Rules, add a clear rule, save it, and update or remove it when your preferences change.
Helps find possible contradictions between the manuscript and established Story Details.
Add important facts to Story Details, choose EDIT → Story Continuity, run the check, review possible conflicts, and decide whether the manuscript or Story Details should change.
